One doesn't usually associate a lease-end with perks, but a Ford lease-end is different. It comes with financing options, lease renewal options, the option to buy your leased Ford or to buy/lease a brand new, different Ford model. Whatever you choose, there are prerequisites to bear in mind. Here's our Fred Grande Ford team's three tips.
Perform a Wear and Use Assessment
This assessment determines if your leased Ford meets wear and use criteria pre-stablished through your Ford lease. Luckily, you can perform this assessment yourself using a special Ford checklist. After the assessment:
- Contact your originating Ford dealer
- Consider making necessary repairs
- Consider deep-cleaning your leased Ford or having it detailed professionally
- Remove your personal items from the vehicle
- Gather all official Ford items and accessories that came with your lease
- Cancel any recurring lease payment arrangements made through your bank
Out-of-State Ford Lease-End
If you cannot engage your originating Ford dealer after you move out of state, you can return or purchase your lease via any participating Ford dealer. During the return, be prepared to satisfy any remaining financial obligations, sign an Odometer Statement (federal law) and finalize a Ford vehicle return transaction.
